Favorite pink things for Pink Saturday linkup

Here are a few pink things I've spotted recently for a Pink Saturday linkup at

http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

I recently saw this beautiful ribbon at a local floral supply store, and had to get a picture of the wonderful detail.  I can't believe I was able to resist the urge to buy a roll, or two.  I do not need another project right now.

I love all of the shades of pink and red

This tree in our backyard is so full of blossoms.  I  just wish I knew what type of tree it is.  Anyone out there have an idea?

I love a glorious pink sunset like this one I  saw while driving home from Eureka.  I am in awe of the beauty of God's creation.

I hope you all have a blessed Mother's Day!  I know that every good thing about me as a Mother came from my wonderful Mom.  Love you, Mom.  Thanks for teaching me how to love.

  1. I am having a difficult time resisting that ribbon myself...the only thing stopping me is the price :)) and your tree looks like an ornamental flowering cherry ... beautiful !
    Happy pink Saturday.

  2. Valerie thank you for stopping by from Pink Saturday. What a lovely blog you have. Well my husband had always called it a cherry tree. But it never gets cherrys. But I have had several ladies stop and say yes it is! It is an Ormental Cherry tree. So now we know. Im going to look that up to confirm.
    Have a wonderful Saturday Blessings

  3. What lovely trim! The incurable collector that I am would definitely have gone home with several rolls of this! The tree is so beautiful.

  4. Thanks for the comments telling me I have an ornamental cherry tree. I just didn't know what it was, but I sure enjoy the blossoms every spring.
